Windsor Police Backing Yellowcard Campaign

The Windsor Police Service is joining a national anti-bullying campaign, targeting the use of the "R" word -- retard.

Constable Adam Young says it's an offensive word to those with intellectual disabilities, and people use it in everyday speech without much thought.

"This year alone, more than 2.2-million people have used the 'R' word in Twitter accounts," he points out. "That's 8,000 a day."

The Yellowcard campaign is looking to get $38,000 people across Canada to pledge to stop the use of the "R" word.

You can do so at motionball.com/yellowcard.
