Rivard Ave Apartment Fire Deemed Accidental

Damage is pegged at around $1-million after a Windsor apartment fire left residents of 32 units displaced.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says the fifth-floor blaze broke out on Wednesday around 7:15pm, at 2455 Rivard Ave.

Three people were taken to hospital, one of which suffered minor smoke inhalation, while the other two were taken for an assessment.

The Ontario Fire Marshall has attended the scene and fire officials says the cause has been deemed accidental.
