Brant Shooting Charges Dropped

Charges have been withdrawn against a 20-year-old man who was arrested in connection with a shooting on Brant St.

The attempted murder charge was dropped Wednesday, but the man is still scheduled to make court appearances on other unrelated offences.

On September 29, a 19-year-old victim was found at the intersection of Brant St. and Louis Ave. bleeding with a gunshot wound. Police later learned the victim was pulled out of a black truck and left on the street.

The shooting itself took place at another location unknown to police.

When the arrest was made police still hadn't recovered the gun or truck involved. Police also say it was unclear if the man arrested was also the person seen pulling the victim out of the truck.
