Making Health Care A Priority

The Windsor-Essex Health Coalition is knocking on doors, asking residents to explore every political party's plan for public health care.

Chair Ken Lewenza Junior says his group is non-partisan, but believes Canada's trending toward a private health system under the Conservatives.

"There's been frustration with the (Stephen) Harper government that hasn't sat down to renew the Health Accord with the provinces, has had no conversations, no discussions with any of the Premiers throughout Canada," he adds.

Lewenza and other coalition members held a get-together in a south Windsor neighbourhood this morning.

This comes after a massive rally at the Ciociaro Club almost a month ago.
