Santa is coming to the Town of Amherstburg after scheduling issues nearly derailed the annual parade.
The town wanted the parade to be moved because the Holiday House Tours is on the same day.
Executive Director of the Windsor Parade Corporation Maggie Durocher says it's not that simple.
"We produce parades in Kingsville, Amherstburg, Windsor and Essex," she says. "Those parades go on a cycle starting with Kingsville is the third Saturday in November, Amherstburg the fourth, Windsor the first Saturday of December, Essex the second Saturday."
Without question, Durocher says both events can compliment each other on the same day.
"We work in municipalities where events go one, two, three, four in conjunction and in harmony with the parade," she says.
Council voted to keep the Santa Claus parade in Amherstburg this year on November 28 at 6pm.
