Windsor is honouring Queen Elizabeth II, as she's now the longest reigning monarch in Canadian history.
Mayor Drew Dilkens still remembers her last visit to the city in 1984.
"I was 12-years-old," he explains. "I walked from Glenwood Public School, down Norfolk (St.), and we were at what is now the Shell gas station on the corner of Norfolk and Dougall (Ave.). And we got in a line, and I just remember a very fast motorcade driving by and we were all waiving Canadian flags."
The Queen's reign is now at 63-years.
Dilkens still believes she's relevant as a figurehead and reminder of our connection to the other commonwealth nations.
