[audio wav="http://blackburnnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/FIVE-QUESTIONS-WITH-TRACEY-RAMSEY-NDP-ESSEX.wav"][/audio] --- Tracey Ramsey has worked for Ford Motor Company for the past 19 years and is also a registered practical nurse. Tracey says she understands the challenges our region faces and is dedicated to fighting for local families who find themselves working harder but falling further behind.

After decades of Conservative and Liberal government, Tracey says she’s ready to deliver the change our region needs. Working with Tom Mulcair’s NDP team, her first priorities will include:

  • creating middle-class jobs by better supporting manufacturing and small business;
  • securing your retirement by protecting workplace pensions and growing the CPP;
  • improving veterans services, ensuring dignity for CF/RCMP vets and their families.
She volunteers with the Ontario Health Coalition and in support of the Welcome Centre Shelter. She is an active member of Unifor Local 200 and a delegate to the Windsor District Labour Council. As a Unifor National Discussion leader, she has taught courses on human rights, women’s issues, conflict resolution, modern communications, and other themes.

Raised in Kingsville, Tracey lives in Puce with her husband, Germaine, and their sons Maxwell and Maliq. --- Interesting riding facts:

  • Known as Essex-Windsor from 1972-1996 until the ridings of Essex and Windsor West were established
  • Riding includes LaSalle, Amherstburg, Essex, Kingsville, Lakeshore & Pelee Island
  • Conservatives have held the seat since 2004, before that it was Liberals from 1993-2004 & NDP from 1984-1993
