He settled in Windsor, and became a proud Canadian Citizen in 1987. Henry and his wife Bridget have been happily married since 1992, and have raised their three children, Samuel, Sarah and Daniel in Windsor.

Henry began his career in Windsor’s tool & mould industry while still in high school, working part-time in local shops. He continued to work full-time while he completed college courses and training. In 1991, Henry graduated from St. Clair College with a certification in Mould Making and Business Management.

In 1994, after 10 years in the industry, Henry was invited to become a business partner in a local mould shop Lex Tool & Mold Inc. Henry then started Standard Tool & Mold Inc. with only two employees and grew the company into a successful Windsor business, employing many employees, designing, developing and manufacturing intricate moulds for the automotive industry. Henry sold his shares and Standard Tool & Mold Inc. is still operating in Windsor today. Henry continues to help businesses as a business consultant locally and internationally.

Henry has been an actively involved in the Windsor community over the years as a volunteer. Some of the roles he has held have been: Mentor at Odette School of Business, adviser and sub-committee chairperson of the Windsor International Relations and board member of the Windsor & Region Art Council. --- Interesting riding facts:

  • Established in 1966, Windsor West was created using parts of the former Essex East and Essex West ridings
  • Liberal Herb Gray held the seat for 34 years, from 1968-2002
  • NDP Brian Masse has secured the riding since then
