It's not the tall ships festival, but Kingsville will be hosting one historic ship at its harbour this summer.
Mayor Nelson Santos says the tall ship US Brig Niagara will be making a stop in town during the last weekend of August, and events are already being planned for its arrival.
"We're planning on putting together an evening event on the ship itself, when it's here, that we'll be hoping to get a lot of participation from the public to join in and basically take a tour of one of the larger ships that we have on the Great Lakes," says Santos.
It's costing the town $20,000 to host the ship, but Santos thinks the economic spin-off will be worth it.
He sees it as a great chance to show off Kingsville's harbour, while giving residents the chance to enjoy a piece of history.
