Splash Pad To Close For Maintenance

It was the hottest weekend of the year and only half of Leamington's splash pad at Seacliff Park was operating.

The set of water features needs maintenance, according to manager of public works Ken Brown, so they'll be shutting it down on Wednesday.

"Because there is a lot of organics down below, the filters can plug up. When the filters clog, it can cause problems with the pumping."

Brown says the closure will only last the morning, if all goes well. But, if they need replacement parts, it could be closed longer.
