Wyandotte Break-In Arrest

One man has been arrested in connection with a string of break-ins along Wyandotte St. E.

Yesterday just before 6am police responded to Gia Nails, The Bird's Den and Pizza Plus in the 4600 and 4700 blocks of Wyandotte St. E.

Police say a small quantity of cash as well as a cash register were taken.

Later, a witness told police about a suspicious vehicle in the 1000-block of Raymo, where the cash register from Pizza Plus was recovered.

Officers ran the vehicle's plates and determined the identity of the suspect, who happened to have an outstanding arrest warrant for a break-and-enter in the 1100 block of Wyandotte St. E.

The 49-year-old Windsor man was arrested yesterday at 11:30am and charged with four counts of break and enter.

Police continue to investigate several other commercial break-ins around the Walkerville area. No word if this suspect is connected to the thefts currently under investigation.
