Fine And Probation For Morra

The young woman accused of exposing herself inside of Windsor Public Library branches is being fined, and will serve a year of probation.

Library CEO Kitty Pope is glad that the case has come to a close with Alexa Morra's guilty plea this morning, although she would have liked to see more than a $250 fine.

"At some point, I had hoped that the damage that was done to the Windsor Public Library reputation would have been reflected in that fine."

She says a larger fine, with a donation to the library included, would have been nice.

Pope doesn't necessarily believe Morra's sentence will deter others from doing inappropriate things in public places such as the library, but says the Windsor Public Library has done a lot to improve sight lines and security inside all of its branches to mitigate these type of incidents.
