Windsor's CS Wind Moves To Three Shifts

CS Wind Canada is moving to a three shift operation after a $3.3-million investment in its Windsor facility.

The current 12-hour shift model will be done away with effective July 13.

"We needed to find a way to operate a safe and efficient facility, and to make CS Wind Canada more competitive as a global supplier - not only for Ontario, but also for the rest of Canada and the United States," says Jeff Heath, CS Wind director of corporate affairs.

The $3.3-million was spent to improve safety, lighting and ventilation at its Anchor Dr. facility.

"The main reason for a three-shift operation is to enhance safety," says Heath. "CS Wind Canada's management team deeply regrets any and all job losses as a result of this shift operation change."

Over 500 people work for the Windsor-based company.
