City Throwing A Birthday Party

Windsor's celebrating its 123rd birthday with the Mayor's Walk and other festivities along the riverfront.

Mayor Drew Dilkens hopes to see as many people as possible at Assumption Park at 10:30am, following him down to Riverfront Festival Plaza.

"Anything I can do to promote physical activity and enjoying our city's parks and the beautiful waterfront that we have, I think I should be doing," he explains. "And that's why I think this location is a great location, (the walk) is a tradition that was started by the former mayor that I plan on continuing."

Dilkens says there will be musical entertainment for the kids, police cruisers and fire trucks, along with an assortment of interactive games and activities at the plaza. Hot dogs, birthday cupcakes and water will also be on hand.
