Helping Employed Women Further Careers

Workforce Windsor-Essex is getting $241,674 from the federal government in order to enhance professional advancement opportunities for employed women.

New mentor programs and supports are expected to be established in the region, using these funds.

Essex MP Jeff Watson made the announcement this morning on behalf of the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women.

The Windsor-Essex project was selected through the Government of Canada's call for proposals, Economic Prosperity: Positioning Women for Success.
