OPSEU's government and correctional employees are demanding the province get back to the bargaining table.
Both groups, which include about 2,000 Windsor-Essex residents, have been without contracts since the end of 2014 as they hold out for wage and benefit increases.
OPSEU Vice President Ron Elliot says the Liberal government is asking for a four-year wage freeze after the union's already taken two years at 0%. "They (the members) aren't going to accept the way this government is spending billions and billions and billions of dollars on P3s and scandals. We're not going to take it on our backs to eliminate her deficit."
A rally was held on Dougall Ave. in Windsor today.
Elliot says emergency and essential services are being negotiated at the moment, in anticipation of a strike.
