It's shaping up to be one of the busiest periods for residential construction in Leamington in several years.
Mayor John Paterson says three different subdivisions have approvals in place, and all three could begin construction this year. "When all three subdivisions that we have shovels in the ground right now are all fully developed, we'll have over 1,000 lots available."
One development is on County Rd. 33 and Seacliff Dr. The other two surround Erie Shores Golf and Country Club.
The elimination of development charges in the town gets the credit.
