Police Investigate Reported Shooting

There are no reported injuries as Windsor police continue to investigate a shooting call in the 900-block of Albert Rd. in the city.

Gerold Prentice lives at 908 Albert Rd. where a hole through a window was thought to have been made by a bullet.

"I was a little freaked out about it," says Prentice. "It's my bedroom window."

Prentice says he was out of the house at the time of the incident.

"Police called me and said there was a gaping hole in my front window. They suspected it was a gunshot, but they went in, they looked around, they couldn't find a casing, couldn't find anything," says Prentice. "They said it could be a rock, it could be a golf ball."

The neighbourhood isn't one for violence according to Prentice.

"It's mainly quiet. You hear once in a blue moon fights going on, people flipping out, crazy drunk people going down the street, but nothing this serious," says Prentice. "I've been here nine years. Maybe a handful of times I've heard or seen something like that, but never something this serious."

Officers responded to the scene Wednesday afternoon and remain in the area, but aren't blocking off any roads to traffic. Police report there isn't a suspect in custody related to the reported shots fired in the Albert Rd. area.
