A group discussion on how to attract and retain youth in Windsor-Essex is happening tonight.
Dan Brown of YKNOT Windsor-Essex is holding a forum on youth employment where panelists discuss things such as job searching and resume building. "I really hope that people get inspired by some of the personal stories and insight that employers will share about going back to an unconventional or non-traditional way of finding work," says Brown. "A lot of times that will relate to meeting people and networking."
Panelists include Frank Abbruzzese, president of AlphaKOR Group; Danielle Micallef, an Employment Consultant at St. Clair College; and Alex Denonville from the Essex Region Conservation Authority.
It runs from 6pm-7pm and is being held at the Windsor Star News Cafe. Participants are encouraged to use the hashtag #workwindsor during tonight's forum.
Last month, YKNOT Windsor-Essex held a four-part forum called Windsor Gone, which highlighted student debt and job prospects for Windsor youth.
