A program aimed to reduce the feral cat population in Essex could continue this year.
Essex Council will be asked to approve a second year of spay and neuter vouchers. Last year, only half of the budgeted $75 vouchers were handed out, so the $7,700 in funding is being pushed to this year.
That money will be used for a trap, neuter, release program, with 175 vouchers available for residents at a cost of $13,000 total.
The program will need budget approval.
