Hiram Walker Adds New Production Line

Hiram Walker & Sons Limited is celebrating the addition of a new production line at its facility in Windsor.

The new line and facility upgrades have expanded bottling capabilities for an additional 13 new bottle formats, including McGuinness and Meaghers liqueurs. The upgrades are expected to create a production boost of 230,000 cases per year, and will provide added job stability for the facility's 280 employees.

"This exciting milestone in the company's history is reflective of the strength of our business and dedicated employees, the support from the Government of Ontario and our partners, and our continued commitment to the Windsor community," says Hiram Walker President and CEO Patrick O'Driscoll in a media release.

Last year, Hiram Walker announced it was investing $8-million to upgrade the facility, including a $1-million investment from the Ontario government's Rural Economic Development Initiative. Over the last ten years, Hiram Walker has invested $80-million into the site.
