Busy New Year's Eve For Police

New Year's Eve revellers kept police busy, but Windsor Police Sergeant Matt D'Asti says it wasn't anything the service didn't expect.

"Mostly, incidents were minor, but we did have 22 persons arrested overnight, and the majority of these arrests were in relation to intoxication and some minor assaults."

There were plenty of noise complaints too. "We have some revellers, obviously," says D'Asti. "We anticipate the higher call volumn and we have the resources to prepare for that."

D'Asti says this New Year's Eve is comparable to past years in terms of complaints.
