Arson Task Force Created

The recent spike in arsons has led Windsor police to dedicate a specific task force to help solve the cases.

Police chief Al Frederick says the intentionally set fires have mostly occurred in vacant buildings in the Walkerville area.

"Whether it's a group of people, one or two, we really don't know at this point," says Frederick. "This is one of those cases where we're asking for the community's help in identifying people, even engaging in conversations about those types of things. Give us any information you may have."

Despite the recent increase, Fredericks says overall arsons are down "considerably" in 2014 compared to last year.
