The Sarnia Sting are adding to their hockey operations department, and that includes a former player for the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) club.
Sarnia-born Jordan Hill, who was a defenceman for the team between 2007 and 2010, has been hired as a player development and performance consultant.
The Sting said Hill will work alongside existing development coach and Vegas Golden Knights Skills Coach Scott Jones to deliver year-round player development and skill planning.
General Manager Dylan Seca said as a respected NHL skills coach, Hill brings extensive experience working with professional and elite-level players as a performance consultant.
"We're thrilled to welcome Jordan back to the organization," said Seca. "Jordan's experience working with NHL and elite-level players, combined with his passion for player development, will be an incredible asset to our players and coaching staff. Alongside Scott Jones, he will help provide year-round support, planning, and development opportunities that will benefit our entire organization."
Joe Raaymakers joins the organization as an assistant goalie coach.
Seca said Raaymakers is a local coach with Future Pro Goalie Academy and an educator.
He will work closely with Goaltending Coach Rob Beatty to continue advancing the club's goaltending program.
"We believe the tandem of Rob Beatty and Joe will make our goalie development program one of the best in the league," said Seca.
Seca said SCTA/OMHA Scout Rob Deschamps and New York Scout Andrew Romano are also new to the club.
"As a coach and former OHL player, Rob's attention to detail and knowledge of the players in his area will be very important," said Seca. "Andrew will look after New York State and assist Chicago-based scout Matt Grainda with player recruitment and evaluation at all levels. As a coach and lead recruiter for the prestigious BK Selects program, Andrew will bring his wealth of player information to the Sting." Katie Colameco will act as the team's billet co-ordinator.
"Katie joined the organization last season, and her role is now extended to fully support the player experience with respect to billet families," said Seca. "Katie will also share her passion and knowledge for mental health, providing extended support to our players, families, and billet families."
Other additions to the staff include Special Advisor Jason Brooks, Assistant Equipment Manager Ty Simmons, Co-Directors of Analytics Jack Bernardo and Michael Renaud and Team Dietitian Olivia McAllister.
The Sting kick off their 2026-27 season in Sault St. Marie on September 19.
Their first home game will be against the Greyhounds on October 2.
