Left-winger Carson Hall had his second goal of the season in Saturday night's 6-1 loss to the Saginaw Spirit.
Captain Cooper Way and alternate captain Easton Wainwright each earned a point for assisting on the goal.
Saginaw more than doubled Sarnia's shots on goal 41-19. The Sting fell apart after the first period, getting outshot 13-5 in the second and 14-2 in the third.
It was an aggressive game, with four misconducts given out and the Sting going on the penalty kill eight times. Three of Saginaw's goals came on the power play. Sarnia went on the power play five times themselves, but couldn't capitalize.
Goaltender Nick Surzycia was chased with less than 10 minutes left in the game. Karsen Chartier saved 3 of 3 shots while he was in net.
The Sting play Guelph next, hosting the Storm at 2:05 p.m. on Sunday.
