The Sarnia Sting bounced back Saturday, after a loss to Windsor on Friday, defeating the Saginaw Spirit 3-1.
Goaltender Nick Surzycia earned the game's first star after stopping 27 of 28 shots on net.
The Sting played a clean game, not earning any penalty minutes themselves, Jacob LeBlanc did score one of Sarnia's three goals on one of the team's two power-play opportunities.
Sandis Vilmanis opened the scoring in the second period, with his second goal of the season. Just over five minutes later Saginaw tied it back up with a goal from Matyas Sapovaliv.
Vilmanis earned his second point of the night with an assist on LeBlanc's power-play goal in the third.
Andrew LeBlanc closed out the scoring with an empty netter with less than 2 minutes to go in the game.
Sarnia faces the Niagara Ice Dogs next on Sunday afternoon.
