Sarnia Golf crowned their 2023 senior men's and women's club champions this week.
Mike Hobin fired a 76 and a 70 over the two-day tournament, Monday and Tuesday, to take top spot on the men's side. Hobin won in a playoff over John Roman, who shot 71 and 75 respectively.
The senior women’s champion was Gerri Boudreau with Stableford Point totals of 42 and 47, totaling 89. Rebecca Brydges was a very close second with a score of 88 points (47, 41).
Flight winners on the men's side included Roman (146), Paul Lane (153), Jim Goodale (155), George Bociurko (160), Cveto Krajnc (163), and Will Barnes (161).
Along with Brydges, flight winners for the women included Trish Gorgas and Cecile Robb, who each had 66 points, and Christine Kirchmair with a score of 55.
