Ottawa doubles the Sting in Sarnia

The Sarnia Sting lost in OHL action Sunday against Ottawa.

The 67's doubled the Sting 6-3 at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

Ottawa hit the back of the net first. Joseph Garreffa scored just 2:57 into the game and the 67's were leading 2-0 just a few minutes later.

Veteran Sting forward Sean Josling scored his 19th of the season to get Sarnia on the board in the first period, but less than a minute later Ottawa's Marco Rossi extended the 67's lead to 3-1.

Less than a minute into the second period Ottawa hit the back of the net again.

Sarnia's Jacob Perreault scored on a power play to cut Ottawa's lead in half, 4-2. He scored again just over a minute later off a rebound by Jamieson Rees and the Sting found themselves within a goal.

The third began with another quick 67's goal and it seemed like there was no coming back for the Sting. Ottawa held the Sting to only two shots in the period.

The Sting fall back to .500 on the season, now sitting with a 10-10 record.

Sarnia will look to bounce back Wednesday when they host the Flint Firebirds at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
