The Sarnia Sting have added experience to their offence with the acquisition of forward Ryan Roth from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
The 19-year-old Ladue, Missouri native is in his third Ontario Hockey League season and has six points in six games played so far. In 142 career OHL games, the 5'9" 163-pound right-winger has 81 points including 38 goals and a plus-42 rating.
In return for Roth the Greyhounds get a fourth round pick in 2021, a second round pick (Hamilton's) in 2023, and a conditional fifth round pick in 2023.
Sting General Manager Nick Sinclair said he's been looking to add an experienced forward.

"Since the onset of training camp we have been targeting the addition of another older forward that could come in to provide additional experience and offence with our current younger nucleus," Sinclair said in a statement. "Ryan is a player that brings skill and the ability to score in all situations and he will be a welcome addition to our club.”
Roth will be in the Sting lineup Friday night at home to the Peterborough Petes.
