New Opportunities For New Young Golfers

The Sarnia Golf and Curling Club is hosting their third beginners golf camp of the season this week, and it's not too late to sign up your kids.

Associate Golf Pro Jeff Yates says the game has taken off locally, and that's why they had to add an extra camp.

"Typically we run two junior golf camps on separate weeks during the summer and this year we had both of those camps filled up with a waiting list on the very first day that we started taking entries," says Yates. "In all we're going to be introducing the game of golf to upwards of 98 kids this year, which is the most we've ever had in one season."

Yates says the camp is directed towards kids aged 5 to 13 with little to no golf experience.

The camp goes from 8:30am to 10:30am from July 30 to August 2.

It's $165 for non-members and $125 for juvenile members.
