For the third straight year, Branden Padgett has been named an OCAA Basketball West Division All-Star. It was a milestone season for the fourth year guard, as he became the fourth player in Lions' history to record 1,000 career points. He also finished fifth in league scoring and seventh in assists.
Head Coach James Grant says Branden has been an integral part of the team’s rebuilding process.
“This year has been a transitional period for the Men’s Basketball Team, which can be tough on veterans. Branden has handled it well and continues to grow as an athlete. I’m looking forward to seeing both him and Jason Marshell next season in their final year here at Lambton College. We’re hoping to start out strong now that the team has more experience to work alongside Branden in 2017-18.”
This coming season marks Padgett’s fourth and final year with the Lambton Lions, after which he’ll graduate with his diploma in Business Administration Human Resources.
