Sting Add Forward Depth With Signing of Cameron Hough

The Sting have added another player to the fold. They've announced the signing of left winger Cameron Hough to a standard player agreement and education package.

The 16-year-old was selected by the Sting in the 13th round of the 2016 OHL Draft.

Through 32 games with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens this year, Hough has registered 13 goals and 17 assists. He posted 57 points in 66 games with the Vaughan Kings last year.

Sting GM Nick Sinclair is pleased with the signing.

"We’re happy to come to an agreement with Cameron and welcome him and his family to the Sarnia Sting Hockey Club," says Sinclair.

"Dating back to mini-camp this summer, Cameron has worked very hard, both on and off the ice, to improve himself as a player. His progression has earned him this opportunity - and goes to show that where you are selected on draft day is far less important than the work you put in afterwards to get better. As a group, we look forward to working with Cameron on his continued development and helping him achieve success as a member of our organization.”

Hough is expected to make his OHL debut against Guelph Wednesday night.
