Bantam Jr Sting Ready For Season

The Lambton Jr. Sting Major Bantams are ready for regular season action after capturing the Little Caesars Challenge championship in Port Huron over the Labour Day weekend.

They defeated the Michigan Ice Hawks in a shootout to win the fourth annual tournament Sunday afternoon.

Manager Mike Barron is thrilled and says it's a great tune up for the regular season.

"It was a great introductory weekend for the team, to get us figured out for the year," says Barron. "We've been on the ice for five or six good skates and we wanted to get a gauge for where our kids are."

The Bantam Jr. Sting open their regular season on Sunday at 1:30pm against the Sun County Panthers at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
