Braves Host Strathroy Wednesday Night

A big test for the Sarnia Braves Wednesday evening as they host Strathroy in Southwestern Senior Baseball League play.

Including league, exhibition, and tournament play, the Braves are 14-3 on the year, with two of those losses coming against Strathroy.

One of those losses was in the finals of the Port Lambton tournament, a 4-3 extra innings victory for the Royals. The other was an 11-10 decision in Strathroy on May 27. Strathroy sits in first place in the SBL standings, and is ranked fourth provincially, while the Braves are the ninth ranked team in Ontario.

The Braves were rained out Sunday afternoon against Oakridge, after a pair of dominating exhibition wins last week. Game time Wednesday night is 7:30 from Blackwell Park. Sarnia has a pair of games this weekend as they travel to London Friday night before hosting Exeter Sunday afternoon.
