NHL Sidney Crosby was awarded the Conn Smythe trophy as playoff MVP for his part in helping the Pittsburgh Penguins to their fourth Stanley Cup, and first since 2009. The Pens secured the Cup with a 3-1 game six win in San Jose last night. Crosby scored six goals and 19 points in the post season. (read MORE)

MLB The Blue Jays beat Baltimore 10-9 Sunday to win their third straight game against the Orioles. Toronto hosts Philadelphia as the team begins a four game home and home with the Phillies.

Tigers beat the Yankees 4-1 as rookie Michael Fulmer won his fifth straight start, they begin a series with the White Sox tonight.

NBA The Golden State Warriors will go for their second straight title tonight at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Golden State leads the Cavs 3-1 in the best-of-seven NBA Final. The Warriors will be without forward Draymond Green. He was suspended yesterday for a game after being assessed a Flagrant Foul for an incident in Game four.

LPGA Canada's Brooke Henderson has her first major championship win. The 18-year-old from Smiths Falls beat top-ranked Lydia Ko in a playoff last night to win the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. Henderson is the first Canadian to win a major championship since Sandra Post in 1968.

WEIGHTLIFTING Boady Satavy helped Canada's weightlifting team earn a spot in the Rio Olympics with an impressive showing in Columbia over the weekend. He made five out of his six lifts and finished eighth, setting a new Junior Commonwealth record with a 152kg snatch.

The 19 year old will be a first alternate for the Rio games, and will be poised to potentially step into the spotlight for the 2020 Tokyo games.

SWBL The Sarnia Braves split a double header against St Thomas yesterday at Blackwell Park. Sarnia took the first game 5-2 but dropped the second 9-6.

The Braves have a pair of exhibition games coming up, they're in Courtright Tuesday night and host Wyoming on Wednesday.
