The Tigers have traded catcher Bobby Wilson back to Texas for minor league pitcher Chad Bell. Detroit also activate catcher James McCann from the 15 day disabled list.

NHL Playoffs Alex Steen and David Backes each scored two goals as St. Louis took a 2-1 series lead over Dallas with a 6-1 win. Pekka Rinne made 26 saves to help Nashville beat San Jose 4-1, cutting the Sharks' series lead to 2-1. Brian Boyle scored in overtime to lift the Lightning over the Islanders 5-4, giving Tampa Bay a 2-1 series lead.
The NHL suspended Pittsburgh's Kris Letang for one game for his hit on Washington's Marcus Johansson, that series continues tonight.
Bob Hartley has been fired as coach of the Calgary Flames, just a year after being named the NHL's coach of the year.
