The Sarnia Sting's Pavel Zacha played his first NHL game for the New Jersey Devils Saturday and scored his first two career points, an assist on Devante Smith-Pelly's goal that tied the game at 1-1 in the opening period and another on Kyle Palmieri's empty-netter in the third.The Devils won the game 5-1 over the Maple Leafs securing last place overall for Toronto.
Former Sting star Alex Galchenyuk also reached a milestone on Saturday scoring twice in Montreal's 5-1 win over Tampa Bay to reach the 30-goal mark for the first time.
"Gally" was the third overall pick in the 2012 NHL Draft.
