It was a solid team effort throughout, capped off by three goals in the second period by Sting rookie Sasha Chmelevski.

Alex Black opened the scoring on a snapshot from well out that snuck through goalie Brendan Halverson. Sarnia carried that 1-0 lead into the intermission despite a 13-7 advantage in shots.
The Sting would continue to press in the second period and were rewarded. Rookie Sasha Chmelevski scored three goals just 6:08 apart to break the game open.
Hayden Verbeek got the Greyhounds on the board late in the frame, beating Justin Fazio with a quick wrist shot high glove side.
Sarnia carried the play through the first 40 minutes, and looked comfortable to start the third period. Verbeek then score his second of the night to trim the Sting's lead to two.
This is were Fazio was at his best. The Greyhounds pressed for the next little while, but Fazio and the Sting defence held strong.
Pavel Zacha would add an insurance marker for the Sting to cap off the 5-2 win, outshooting the Greyhounds 38-25.
Sasha Chemelvski now has five goals on the season, three of which are game winners.
