Eight Sarnia Sting players have been invited to attend NHL rookie tournaments.
Pavel Zacha and Josh Jacobs, both draft picks of the Devils, will be with New Jersey. Nikita Korostelev who was drafted by Toronto, will be at the Maple Leafs rookie tournament in London from September 11-13.
Defenceman Connor Schlichting, who missed most of the 2014-2015 season, will be with the Chicago Blackhawks rookie squad, Noah Bushnell is trying out with St. Louis, Kevin Spinozzi is with Arizona, Brandon Lindberg and Hayden Hodgson are both with the New York Rangers. All five are on amateur try outs.
The Sting travels to Saginaw tonight for an exhibition game with the Spirit. The team will have a full week off before traveling to Windsor September 17.
Sarnia opens the regular season at home when they host Erie at the RBC Centre September 25.
