Get stomping for Childcan at Alton Farms Estate Winery

Alton Farms Estate Winery is bringing back a popular local tradition with its annual grape stomp fundraiser this weekend.

On Saturday, October 17 at the winery located at 5547 Aberarder Line in Plympton-Wyoming, residents are invited to squish some grapes with their feet for a good cause.

The funds raised will support Childcan, a kids cancer foundation which supports families and children through responsive and direct financial assistance, emotional support and social programs.

The family-friendly festivities kick off at noon, with the official stomping action starting at 1 p.m.

"Expect friendly competition, prizes, photo opportunities, plenty of laughs and one wonderfully ridiculous afternoon at the winery," read a news release.

Entry to participate in the stomping contest is $25 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under.
