Candidates running in Sarnia in the upcoming municipal election have a busy few weeks ahead.
On Thursday, October 1, Blackburn Media Inc. and SarniaNewsToday.ca will host a debate for the five mayoral candidates.
It will be held at the Dante Club from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m, with doors opening to the public at 6:30 p.m. Admission is a $10 cash donation at the door for the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton.
The debate will also be livestreamed on Sarnia News Today's YouTube channel, and broadcast live on Big Country 103.9FM.
Incumbent Mike Bradley is seeking his 12th term in office. He's being challenged by Carrie McEachran, Bill Dennis, Scott Molson, and George Stanko.

Before that, there will be a Youth-Led all candidates forum held at Great Lakes Secondary School on Wednesday, September 23.
Municipal candidates will tackle questions regarding safety and inclusion, housing, youth spaces and programming and local job opportunities.
The community event will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, September 29 the five mayoral candidates will debate the issues at the Dante Club on London Road.
The event, hosted by the Rotary Club, will be held from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

On Saturday, October 3 there will be a meet the candidates at Lambton Mall from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The Rotary Club of Sarnia and Lambton Mall have partnered to host the event.
School board trustees, city/county councillor, city councillor, and mayoral candidates have all be invited.
Each candidate will have their own table and the public will have the opportunity to meet them and ask questions about issues important to them.
On Sunday October 4, Grace United Church on Cathcart Blvd. will host a meet and greet from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with the mayoral candidates and those running for city/county councillor. On Thursday, October 8 city councillor candidates have been invited to the church for a meet and greet event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The candidates will square off again for sold out debates at the Sarnia Imperial Theatre on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20.
Both events will be livestreamed.
Meanwhile, voter information letters will begin to go out in the mail on October 1, ahead of election day October 26.
