A local group will raise funds and awareness about organ donation at a free event at Refined Fool Brewing Co.
The Sarnia Organ Donor Awareness (SODA) group said games and a 50/50 raffle will be set up at Refined Fool's London Road location on Wednesday, August 5, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Josh Douwes from Bluewater Tattoo will also be offering transplant-inspired tattoos.
Fifteen per cent of all food and alcohol sales will be donated to SODA as part of Refined Fool's Charity Takeover initiative.
According to SODA's website, 35 per cent of Ontarians are registered donors, and on average, 1,400 Ontarians are waiting for an organ transplant.
