Plympton-Wyoming launches $2.37M road reconstruction project

A three phase $2.37 million road reconstruction project in Plympton-Wyoming is underway.

The town said the Thames, Niagara, and Main Streets reconstruction project will see the completion of important infrastructure upgrades, including new storm sewers, water mains and upgrade sidewalks over the next six months.

Work will also including full road reconstruction with new curbs, gutters and asphalt.

The first phase along Main Street will continue until early June.

The second phase will see work done along Thames Street between June and August, and phase three includes work along Niagara Street wrapping up in October.

All roads will be closed during construction, with local access only maintained for residents and businesses.

The town said emergency services and bus companies have been notified.
