Lambton Shores resident wins $500K

Lambton Shores resident Dirk V. has won 500k with the Bigger Spin Instant game.

Dirk is a farmer who said he regularly plays the lottery with Bingo or Crossword but this is his first ever big win.

“I expected to win maybe $10. The clerk checked my ticket for me, and I had no idea what I’d won at first. When they told me the minimum prize was $500,000, I was shocked!” said Dirk in a news release. “I’m excited to be here. I’ve never walked into a room of people cheering for me like this. It doesn’t matter where the wheel lands – I’m leaving here with the largest cheque I’ve ever received.”

He said he will use the money to treat his girlfriend to a nice vacation and save the rest to build a dream home.

The winning ticket was purchased at Pro Stop Convenience on King Street East in Forest.
