Two people wanted by police have been arrested after the Sarnia Police Service (SPS) executed a Feeney warrant, which allows officers to enter a private residence to arrest a person.
Police dog Shadow, along with members of the Emergency Response Team, Major Case Action Team, and patrol officers, entered an apartment on Fane Street in Corunna at around 8 p.m. on February 17.
Sarnia police said 32-year-old Ryan Tye, who was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant, was inside.
The warrant included several charges such as assault, three counts of theft under $5,000, four counts of failure to comply with probation, and failure to comply with a release order.
During the arrest, officers also found 47-year-old Shaunda Hooper, who was wanted on a separate arrest warrant. Her charges included uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and forcible confinement.
The pair were taken to police headquarters and held for bail hearings.
Charges against the accused have not been proven in court.
The SPS is asking anyone with information about wanted individuals to contact city police or Crime Stoppers.
