A two-vehicle collision on Highway 40 in St. Clair Township on Friday sent three people to hospital, one of whom was airlifted via Ornge.
In a video posted to social media, OPP Cst. Jeff Hare said Lambton OPP, Lambton EMS, and local fire crews were called to the intersection of Bentpath Line and Highway 40 shortly after 8:50 a.m.
West Region OPP initially said the three people taken to hospital suffered life-threatening injuries. But in an update posted to social media at around 3:50 p.m., OPP said the injuries have all been deemed to be non-life-threatening.
The highway was closed in both directions between Wilkesport Line and Smith Line for most of the day. Motorists were advised to plan alternate routes.
OPP said the area was expected to reopen to traffic before 5 p.m.
