Minor injuries in two-vehicle crash

A hydro pole was damaged in a crash Sunday afternoon in Sarnia.

Police and Lambton EMS responded to a collision involving a pick-up truck and a car at the intersection of Russell Street and George Street at around 2:35 p.m.

No serious injuries were reported.

Police said one of the vehicles came to rest against a hydro pole at the southwest corner of the intersection.

Bluewater Power crews responded to make the necessary repairs to the hydro pole, and the intersection was closed for about four hours.

Sarnia police said a Bell telephone box was also damaged.

A 29-year-old man is charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
