Loonies for Lunches collected over $6,000 to help the Inn of the Good Shepherd stock its shelves with lunch items for children.
Inn Executive Director Myles Vanni said $5,269 in $1 donations were collected from McDonald's customers, and $750 in donations were made through the Inn's website to support the back to school program.
McDonald’s Restaurants Sarnia Operations Supervisor Darlene Black said their crew also gathered 186 canned goods in lieu of payroll deductions this year.
This year's campaign was held from August 24 to September 7.
