Over $113K worth of chewing tobacco seized at Blue Water Bridge

The investigation is ongoing after 1,140 kilograms of chewing tobacco were seized at the Blue Water Bridge.

Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers found the tobacco in a commercial truck coming from the United States on July 17.

The tobacco was worth over $113,000, according to the CBSA.

In an email to Sarnia News Today, the CBSA said no charges have been laid at this time.

No other details were provided.
