Sarnia police seize over $120K in drugs

A 60-year-old woman is facing drug trafficking charges after Sarnia police seized $126,692 worth of drugs while searching a home on Alexander Street.

The Sarnia Police Major Case Action Team, Emergency Response Team, and Canine Unit searched the residence during the early morning hours of July 15.

With help from police dog Vader, officers seized 627.02 grams of cocaine and 857.51 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

Police also seized drug trafficking paraphernalia and $4,630 in cash.

The accused was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine), and possession of property obtained by crime.

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
